Whole-body cold

How is whole-body cold used?

During a whole-body cold session, the body is briefly and deliberately exposed to very low temperatures. For the roughly three-minute session, the person stands in a strongly cooled environment. The eCham systems are designed to cool the skin quickly and precisely to a relevant target temperature of 13.6 °C. The intense cold stimulus provides a targeted thermal impulse for the whole body.

Fields of application

Whole-body cold is used as a complementary application in various areas.

AllergiesArthritisAsthmaBurnoutChronic inflammationChronic painDegenerative joint diseasesDepressionFibromyalgiaMigraineAnkylosing spondylitisMultiple sclerosisAtopic dermatitisRehabilitationRheumatic diseasesSleep disordersPsoriasisTendinitisMuscle tensionSpinal syndromes

Sport

Before physical exertion, whole-body cold can be used as a targeted cold stimulus. The short session is often perceived as activating and refreshing and can be integrated into personal preparation for training or competition.

After physical exertion, whole-body cold can be part of an individual recovery routine. Many users find the cold stimulus pleasant and refreshing after intense training sessions.

Recovery

Whole-body cold can be used as a complementary part of an individual recovery routine. The session does not replace medical diagnosis, advice or treatment.

After an intense day, the short cold session can create a conscious moment of calm. Many people describe the feeling afterwards as refreshing, clear and relaxing.

Recovery and well-being

Many people perceive the intense cold stimulus as invigorating. The session can be integrated as a refreshing experience into a conscious daily or wellness routine.

Regular cold sessions provide a special thermal stimulus. As part of a conscious routine, they can create new impulses for well-being, activity and personal recovery.

Body awareness and everyday life

The intense cold can be perceived as a refreshing experience for skin and body. Many users describe a vital, invigorated body feeling after the session.

Whole-body cold can be used as a complementary part of an active, conscious lifestyle. It does not replace a balanced diet, sufficient exercise or individual health advice.
